0 people rendering for each other right now

Image generation that is actually free.

There is no data centre here. Every image is rendered by somebody else who volunteered their graphics card, and one day yours renders for them. That is the whole thing, and it is why it costs nothing.

Free, with no card

Twenty pixels when you join, and no card is ever asked for. After that the people here keep each other going: you render for them, they render for you.

Made by people, for people

Every image on this site was made on somebody's own machine while it sat idle, and they were paid in pixels for it. Every picture here has two names on it: whoever asked, and whoever rendered.

Everyone chips in

Switch on the worker and your card renders for somebody else. You keep 90% of what their image was worth. Nobody is in charge of the queue; it is just people covering for each other.

The people keeping this running

Who runs this

PeerPixel is made by Julius. It is a side project he builds for fun, not a company. There are no investors, no runway and nobody who needs it to make money later.

That is the whole reason it can be free.

Pixels are never sold. Twenty when you join, then the community keeps you going.

Keep the lights on for everybody else, and earn pixels doing it
1 · Download it

Unzip it and double-click one file. It works on Windows, macOS and Linux, needs no Python, and installs nothing outside its own folder.

Download PeerPixel

Then unzip it and double-click the launcher inside.

Rather use git?

The same thing from a clone. The launcher is in the folder either way.

git clone https://github.com/Jplayz2468/peerpixel-worker
2 · Pair it with this account

The launcher opens a terminal and sets itself up. When it asks for a code, paste this one in. That is all there is to it.

Rather use the terminal?

One command, the same on every system, run inside the folder you unzipped.

uv run peerpixel pair CODE

Show my images on Home

New images appear in the public stream. Turn this off and they stay in My images only.

Whichever way that is set, the person whose machine renders an image for you sees the prompt while it is being made. That is how the network works and it cannot be switched off.
