Image generation that is actually free.

PeerPixel runs on graphics cards that people volunteer, not on rented data centre hardware. That is why it costs nothing, and why it can stay that way.

Free, with no card

Ten credits when you join. After that you earn them by letting your own machine render for somebody else. There is no subscription and no upsell, because there is no bill to pass on.

Rendered by real people

Every image is made on somebody's graphics card while it would otherwise sit idle. Your prompt goes to a person, and they are paid for it in credits.

Out of credits? Contribute

Install the worker, switch it on, and your card renders for other people. You keep 90% of what each image is worth. It runs headless and stops when you tell it to.

Who runs this

PeerPixel is made by Julius. It is a side project he builds for fun, not a company. There are no investors, no runway and nobody who needs it to make money later.

That is the whole reason it can be free.

Render for people whose machines cannot, and earn credits doing it
1 · Install the worker

Headless, on Windows, macOS or Linux. It uses your own graphics card and stops when you tell it to.

git clone https://github.com/Jplayz2468/peerpixel-worker
cd peerpixel-worker && ./setup.sh
2 · Pair this account

Run uv run peerpixel pair CODE on that machine. A code lasts ten minutes.

3 · Your machines

Nothing paired yet. Machines appear here once they connect.

New images appear in the public stream. Turn this off and they stay in My images only.

Whichever way that is set, the person whose machine renders an image for you sees the prompt while it is being made. That is how the network works and it cannot be switched off.
