There is no data centre here. Every image is rendered by somebody else who volunteered their graphics card, and one day yours renders for them. That is the whole thing, and it is why it costs nothing.
Continue with DiscordTwenty pixels when you join, and no card is ever asked for. After that the people here keep each other going: you render for them, they render for you.
Every image on this site was made on somebody's own machine while it sat idle, and they were paid in pixels for it. Every picture here has two names on it: whoever asked, and whoever rendered.
Switch on the worker and your card renders for somebody else. You keep 90% of what their image was worth. Nobody is in charge of the queue; it is just people covering for each other.
PeerPixel is made by Julius. It is a side project he builds for fun, not a company. There are no investors, no runway and nobody who needs it to make money later.
That is the whole reason it can be free.

Download PeerPixelThen unzip it and double-click the launcher inside.
The same thing from a clone. The launcher is in the folder either way.
The launcher opens a terminal and sets itself up. When it asks for a code, paste this one in. That is all there is to it.
One command, the same on every system, run inside the folder you unzipped.
